to celebrate other writers and readers. I'll be
doing events and receiving the Silver Bullet Award

I am thrilled to be receiving an honorary degree
from Laurier University in Ontario. Following the
ceremony,, in the evening, my great friend Shelagh
Rogers and I will be the guests at a fundraiser
for the CFUW, an organization of women in Kitchener-Waterloo,
to promote education, rights and opportunities for
women. Tickets are sold out. |

July 18th |
Rhys Bowen and I will be in conversation as part
of Book Passage's 2024 Mystery Writers Conference
in Corte Madera, California. It's a virtual event.

Aug 23- 24 |
Newfoundland Writers at Wood Point celebration
I'll be at this amazing literary (and music festival)
in the Gros Morne National Park. The redoubtable,
indefatigable, extraordinary Shelagh Rogers and
I will be in conversation, and in convulsions of
laughter.

Saturday at 10am · Lomond River Site -
Weve added another, free event, for everyone.
Its called Writers in the Wild, and is organized
by both the festival and Parks Canada.
Free bus shuttle is available to Lomond and back.
Bus leaves from Woody Point Heritage Theatre at
9:20 am and will be back by noon. Please be on time,
or drive into Lomond River Trail Head with your
own vehicle - there will be signs by the road. Please
bring your own water to stay dehydrated. |
